The Nollywood drama just jumped from Instagram to the boxing ring. Lizzy Anjorin has officially accepted a celebrity boxing challenge to face Iyabo Ojo – and she’s bringing receipts.In a fiery Instagram post on Sunday, May 3, 2026, Lizzy called out show promoter Paul Okoye, aka Paulo, saying she’s ready to throw hands years after he first floated the idea.
“Paul O, I saw your post a few years ago calling Iyabo and me for a ring fight. As of today, 3rd May 2026, I accept your challenge,” she wrote. But she didn’t stop there, Lizzy laid out her own fight card: “You, Paul O, and Chief Lawal will fight 10 rounds non-stop in the ring. Then the next day, it will be me and Iyabo Ojo in the ring.
”She also raised the stakes off the canvas, daring Paulo and Iyabo to put their assets on the table. “I challenge both of you to show your properties and achievements with proper documentation for verification,” she wrote. “You can’t talk about your status or claimed fake riches. The last time I checked, you and Iyabo Ojo are still tenants while Chief Lawal owns estates and mansions… Let this serve as a lesson: Never disrespect or look down on anybody. Just because we don’t show off doesn’t mean your 1943 Bentley can buy even a plot of land from our estate.
”The bad blood between Lizzy and Iyabo isn’t new. Paulo first teased a ₦10 million celebrity boxing match between them back in 2024. Things got messier in 2025 when Iyabo hit Lizzy with a ₦1 billion defamation suit. The case was struck out on procedural grounds, but Iyabo said she wasn’t done legally.
Since then, it’s been police petitions, online clapbacks, and plenty of shade.Lizzy’s challenge comes as celebrity boxing is catching fire in Nigeria. Just last Friday, Portable lost to streamer Carter Efe at a packed fight night in Lagos, and fans can’t seem to get enough.If this fight actually happens, expect tickets to sell fast.
