Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, a prominent Nigerian cleric, has revealed he received a warning from security sources that his name was mentioned in a national security meeting as someone to be eliminated, alongside Boko Haram members. Gumi expressed skepticism about the narrative surrounding terrorism, suggesting global powers might be responsible for the emergence of insurgent groups.
In a viral video, Gumi shared that an unnamed source in Abuja called him early in the morning, stating that he had been marked for elimination. “They called me from Abuja and told me there was a security meeting. They said I have been marked, that I will be eliminated. And who are Boko Haram?” Gumi questioned, pointing fingers at foreign powers, particularly the United States, for allegedly fueling terrorism in Nigeria
