President Bola Tinubu is leaving no stone unturned in his quest for justice for the victims of the Kasuwan Daji attack in Niger State. He has directed the Minister of Defence, the Chief of Defence Staff, the Service Chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police, and the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS) to track down and apprehend the perpetrators of the heinous crime.
The President’s directive comes in response to the recent killings of villagers in Niger State, allegedly carried out by terrorists fleeing from Sokoto and Zamfara states after the United States’ air strike on Christmas Eve. Tinubu has also ordered security agencies to urgently rescue all abducted victims, including women and children.
In a statement, Tinubu condemned the attack, describing it as a test of the country’s resolve. “These terrorists have tested the resolve of our country and its people. They must face the full consequences of their criminal actions,” he said. He also extended his condolences to the families of the victims and the Government and people of Niger State.
The President has assured Nigerians that security agencies are intensifying operations around vulnerable communities, particularly those near forests used as hideouts by criminal elements. He urged citizens to remain united and resolute, cautioning against divisive rhetoric that could undermine national security and cohesion.
