…Arrests follow viral video at Karma Agric Feeds on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway; victims hospitalized as CP orders probe

The Oyo State Police Command has arrested three suspects, including a 46-year-old Indian national and two security operatives, over the alleged assault of two truck drivers at Karma Agric Feeds and Foods Limited along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ibadan.

The arrest followed the circulation of a viral video showing the incident at the company’s facility at Kilometer 12, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. In a statement on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, said the Command was alerted to the video at about 8:30 a.m., prompting the Commissioner of Police, CP Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga, to order detectives to identify and apprehend all those involved.

Preliminary investigation showed the confrontation started as a dispute over truck parking after a delivery on Saturday. The truck owner, 47-year-old Akinpelu Sarafa, told police the driver objected to a designated parking space for fear it could damage the truck’s tyres but was compelled to park there. One of the tyres later burst

The disagreement escalated when the driver requested a replacement tyre and the company allegedly declined. The driver was said to have blocked the company’s entrance with his truck, leading to a physical clash involving the drivers, security operatives and the Indian national. The two victims were identified as Ridwan Olajide, 34, and Taiwo Yinusa, 37. They were taken to a hospital in the Academy area of Ibadan for treatment, where investigators visited them and obtained their statements.

The suspects arrested were identified as Olowu Oluwadamilare and Sodeke Olamide, both security operatives attached to the company, and Harjit Singh, the Indian national associated with the firm. The police said investigations are ongoing to establish the roles of each suspect and determine culpability.

The case has been transferred to the Special Enquiry Bureau (SEB), Eleyele, Ibadan, for further investigation. The Command reassured the public of its commitment to protecting lives and property and ensuring the law applies equally to all persons and organisations, urging calm while the investigation continues.
