The Federal Government has added 48 individuals and entities to its sanctions list for alleged involvement in terrorism financing and related activities. Notable names include Tukur Mamu, a controversial negotiator, Abdulsamat Ohida, a senior ISWAP commander linked to the 2022 Owo church attack, and Simon Ekpa.

According to the government, those listed are accused of various offenses, including receiving and delivering ransom payments to terrorists, designing communication codes, and financing terrorist activities.

Some individuals allegedly received millions of naira in suspicious transactions.The list also includes entities like Jama’atu Wal-Jihad, Ansarul Sudan, and ISWAP. This update follows an earlier May 2025 designation of 17 individuals and organisations for similar allegations.
