Oyo was buzzing on Sunday as dignitaries gathered for the installation of new traditional chiefs by the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Owoade I. Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, was installed as the “Okanlomo of Yorubaland”, a title meaning “the beloved child of Yorubaland”. This prestigious title symbolizes Seyi’s commitment to youth development, innovation, and national unity.
Senator Abdul’Aziz Yari, former governor of Zamfara State, also received the title of “Cloying of Yorubaland”, representing love, compassion, and justice. The event drew notable attendees, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly Adebo Ogundoyin, and former Kano State Governor Abdullahi.
