Nollywood actress Georgina Ibeh is heartbroken after her brand-new Samsung fold phone went missing at Toyin Abraham’s Oversabi Aunty movie premiere. “I haven’t been happy since morning,” she admitted on Instagram—but she put on a brave face to hype the film.
Despite the theft, Georgina raved about the movie: _“OVER SABI AUNTY is a MUST-WATCH, guys! Exceptional piece, @toyin_abraham. Actors killed it, storyline had me laughing, crying, f_ing angry… then fulfilled. Don’t miss it, watch & thank me later.”*
The sting? Someone swiped her pricey phone mid-celebration. “If you were at the event & saw a Samsung fold lying around, DM me, abeg. Thanks.”
Sadly, Georgina’s not alone. Last year, Mercy Aigbe lost TWO phones at Iyabo Ojo’s premiere (her assistant was to blame). Iyabo Ojo even begged the thief to return them—and offered cash for their return. Mercy’s consolation prize? She won Best Dressed Female (pocketed ₦500k).

- Angela Okorie cursed the thief who took her Samsung at an event. “Wickedness! I’d have given you ₦1m if you asked.”
- Soso Soberekon (ex-Harrysong manager) offered ₦500k+ for his phone’s safe return after it vanished at Israel DMW’s wedding.
